With Service Pack 3, the following changes become effective, all previous service packs for version 6.1 are contained:

General Improvements:

  • Scripts can be added to the toolbar now.
  • Change company name on the registration dialog.
  • Fixed issue with unsorted measurement object list after the name of a measurement function or Matlab signal has been changed.
  • Fixed issue for command "change dimension with interpolation" in case of a invalid map or curve.
  • Fixed issue in the measurement list if letters are entered.
  • Saving the default settings does work for graphic windows again.
  • Maximizing a display window does maximize the selected window and not a second minimized window.
  • Closing the properties dialog of a database object in read-only mode with "OK" will not set modified flag.
  • Correction in copy and save a string value to PAR file.
  • Fix read problem of settings for user defined filters.
  • Fix in set variant for selector onjects in calibration cache.
  • Functions with virtual signals assigned to input parameters are executed regardless of the order in the measurement list.
  • Fixed issue with the measurement cursor in empty text windows if "Strg" or "Shift" is pressed.
  • Fixed issue with non modal error message box during loading a configuration, if the symbol explorer is open.
  • Curve without axis can be inserted into an existing calibration window.
  • Addon Tool menu entries can be defined in the registry.
  • Fixed issue with location of the context menu for multiple monitor systems.
  • Fixed issue with script function LoadConfiguration().
  • Fixed issue for the ATF-Converter when converting an mdf-file with the script function ConvertFile().
  • Fixed issue with duplicated global variables in the function editor.
  • Fixed issue if the info dialog is open and the permanent offline mode is changed because a inserted/removed license.
  • Measuring mode "On Start" does save always one value in case of a triggered measurement.
  • Support trigger condition on same named CAN signals which are defined in multiple messages.
  • Display of physical value with measurement cursor is not restricted any more to min/max physical values defined in database.
  • Added possibility to suppress dialog "Adjustment of calibration ram" by executing default action.
  • Optimization of the logging converter for CANcaseXL log measurement files.
  • Do not show a trigger line in graphic windows after a measurement without a trigger.
  • Fixed issues in case of logging J1939 messages with more then 8 data bytes into a BLF.
  • "Remark" can be saved for an "ASCII String" variable.
  • Calibration windows are updated now if a HEX parameter file is loaded and the ECU is offline.
  • Fixed issue in the Measurement File Manager when closing dialog for an invalid virtual signal.
  • Fix some memory leaks caused by calling function of function DLLs with string arguments.
  • Function sizeof() does work for MDF file signals now which are not already created.
  • The datatype unsigned long does work in the function editor now.
  • Fix some memory Leaks during compiling scripts or functions.
  • Fixed issue with invalid configured dependent parameters.
  • Fixed issue when closing a configuration containing a array measurement object with a not complete measured axis.
  • Delete temporary files of imported CANalyzer logging files if the file device is permanent loaded.

ASAP2 Editor/Database:

  • Popup menu commands to change variable type in the database editor are disabled in the selection mode now.
  • Fixed issue with manually modified DB database files.
  • Enter button has the focus by default in the database editor search dialog.
  • Fixed issue after importing a database in the ASAP2 Editor.
  • Property window of the selected object in the ASAP2 Editor is updated always now.
  • Fixed issue in database editor during renaming a group which contains subgroups.
  • Fixed issue in the ASAP2 Editor when changing the assigned "record layout" of a "shared axis" object.
  • Save system constants in the database editor.
  • Support selective database export for databases with variant coding.
  • Support new CANdb databases for J1939.
  • New switch to disable the syntax check of a variable names.
  • Fixed issue during reloading configurations after the database editor was closed and the write window was visible because an error.
  • Display warning message when a wrong database has been loaded during automatic database detection.
  • Convertion of dependent or virtual parameters into curve is disabled now.
  • Virtual addresses can not be used for curves and maps any more.
  • Corrected handling of long signal names when generating CANdbc.
  • Generate messages with correct length into CANdbc.
  • Fixed issue in evaluating bitmask of motorola characteristics.
  • Fixed issue at importing of multiple variant criterions with equal names.
  • Physical unit is not lost if a new local conversion rule is assigned to a variable.

Map Reader:

  • COFF reader outputs supports values if bit fields which cross byte borders.
  • Fixed issue with invalid addreses read from elf file generated by MW EABI PPC C-Compiler.
  • Fixed issue with ASCII string variables linked to an entry of an ELF map file.

Driver:

  • Fixed issue with the default event of CCP and XCP signals, if signals are inserted into the measurement list.
  • Fixed XCP simulator crash when running for long time.
  • VCANTCP: Fixed data corruption problem.
  • Analog driver (IOcab): Prevented resetting values in calibration window upon refresh.
  • GPS driver: Corrected values of position/dilution, added additional satellite information.
  • NI-DAQ driver: Fixed problems with PCI-MIO-16XE-50.
  • CCP: Corrected checksum computation for multiple calram segments.
  • Fixed issue with CNP_CREATE_INI driver entries in an a2l-file.
  • A variant criterion can not be assigned to a database group that contains the associated selector.
  • Fixed problems in CANape after sending "short upload" to ECU that is locked (CCP).
  • Corrected CCP-configuration string in CANalyzer DBC when ECU is offline.
  • Custom Audi K-line driver : Read access to calibration object led to suspend/resume of free running mode even if the values are cached..
  • Corrected format of blf log file created by CAN device.
  • Support of Transport Protocol in case of multiple CAN devices using J1939 CANdbs.
  • Improved import of LIN ldf-files.
  • Fixed problems in CANdito when creating device using fibex-file.
  • XCP: Fixed a problem with wrong signal offsets in generated dbc database.

MDF:

  • Display error message during MDF signal selection because a signal comment with more then 255 characters.
  • Save time range of a multmedia signal into a new MDF file does not modify the avi file link in the base multimedia signal anymore.
  • Support Integer time stamps with more then 32 Bit in MDF measurement files.
  • Fixed issue with channel counter of MDF files if arrays are saved in one channel group or block measurement mode is used.
  • Fixed issue during configuration of a virtual MDF signal if a not allowed parameter is selected which is already assigned.
  • Fixed issue at reading or writing an Integer signal with Motorola Byte order in an MDF file and a bit offset.
  • Support J1939 BAM at converting BLF files into MDF files.

Diagnostics:

  • Fixed wrong "no interpretation possible" warnings for empty strings in the trace of the diagnostic console.
  • Changed text for physical ./. functional addressing from "Addressing Scheme" to "Addressing Mode"
  • If a response parameter value is invalid now additionally an according message appears (along with the raw hex value output).
  • CANape could crash when a diagnostics device was changed from physical to functional addressing.
  • The message box of the diagnostic console that warns in case of invalid parameter values was adapted for huge parameter lists.
  • Fixed issue with crash after changing the communication interface of a diagnostic driver.
  • Fixed some wording problems in string resources of the diagnostic driver dialog.
  • Now it is possible to override the used fault memory requests also for the K-Line driver.
  • Optimized bus load in diagnostics driver during measurement.
