Download

With Service Pack 3 (Update to 7.0 build 52 - previous service packs are contained), the following changes become effective:

General:

  • Panels saved with the Panel Designer are automatically added to the CANoe configuration
  • Panels displayed in the MDI style can be controlled with the keyboard
  • Ambiguous signal Names are supported better in the Panel Designer and are distinguished by channel and node name
  • Panel-Control including a user defined bitmap can be set to the bitmap size automatically
  • The OSEK_TP example configuration shows how to use an ActiveX Panel to read in any parameter file
  • After changing the database, signals in Data and Graphics window are automatically reconnected
  • The Graphics window can show signal names also qualified with the database name
  • The content of the Data window can be reset during runtime
  • Improved baud rate scanner in the hardware configuration dialog
  • All manuals are installed automatically and can be opened via the start menu
  • The CAN bus statistics values can be accessed in CAPL
  • CAPL supports now also "Structs" and "associative Arrays"
  • Sporadic display problems of the toolbar are removed
  • Configuration templates are reworked

Diagnostics:

  • User can define to automatically update the COM-Parameters always to the value of the description file
  • The fault memory access in the fault memory window can be specified extensively by the user
  • Sending Tester Present for functional groups can now be controlled in the DFS (diagnostics feature set)
  • Multiple diagnostics services can be put together as joined wait points in test cases

Test:

  • XML test modules are able to invoke .NET test cases as well
  • .NET test case implementation possibilities extended
  • Extension of the support of GMLAN: Access to GMLAN-signals even via COM server; CANoe Interaction Layer features for fault injections are now available for GMLAN
  • Integration of Test Automation Editor extended: Test case libraries in CAPL and .NET are now available in TAE (requires TAE >= 1.0 SP1)
  • Some extensions when using system variables in XML test modules

MOST:

Trace-Window:

  • In Trace- and Data-Window, display strings with the encodings UTF8, UTF16, SHIFT-JIS, RDS and DAB in a readable way
  • MOST messages will now also fill the columns message name and identifier. This facilitates the parallel analysis of CAN and MOST messages.

FBlock-Monitor:

  • Extended Visualization: The status bar now shows also the IDs for FBlock, Function und OpType. Additionally system settings, e.g. on which channel the FBlock-Monitor works or whether the Spy on this channel is active are shown. In the property view an additional column displaying the timestamp of the last received message bearing the information can be activated.
  • String Encoding: The FBlock-Monitor displays extended Unicode strings correctly. It additionally supports the encodings UTF8, UTF16, SHIFT-JIS, RDS and DAB. To enable a correct represantation, a suited character set has to be selected.

Logging formats:

  • The logging format IMG is now supported beside OP2, CCO and the Vector formats. Logging files in these formats can be used to import into the Trace- Window, analyses in the offline mode and the Replay-Block. The formats IMG and OP2 can also be used with the Logging-Block to record MOST communication.

Streaming of synchronous channels over USB:

  • Now the streaming demos can directly record WAV files or replay them to the MOST ring.

MOST High Protocol (MHP):

  • The MOST High Extension for CAPL now supports multiple connections in a single CAPL node. This facilitates the generation of test modules and the simulation of function blocks using several connections.
  • The API now allows an automatic dispatching of the received MHP messages to separate Callback-functions
  • The effort to use the extension is reduced due to the revised API

Smaller Improvements:

  • The Audio-Window indicates the channels used for LineIn and LineOut with the same colors as the plugs on the hardware interface VN2610
  • The operation of the MOST Interactive Generator Block was improved and the layout optimized
  • The State-Window now shows the position of the interface in the MOST ring, even when the AllBypass is closed. Via context menu a new ring scan by the network Master can be triggered

FlexRay:

General:

  • The FlexRay FIBEX Explorer can be opened via the File menu.
  • The Object view of the Simulation setup displays database related information (path, type, FIBEX version).
  • The standard assignment of payload data can be configured.
  • The FlexRay parameter consistency check is started by means of a switch in the hardware configuration. The check is no longer carried out automatically.
  • Direct integration of the PDU help in the CANoe help.

Signals:

  • New pre-defined signals for PDU update bits: In addition to the update bit value, it is now possible to configure counter signals for set and unset update bits via the symbol explorer.
  • Signals in the Graphic and Data window retain their assigned values following a database update.
  • Signal generators can now be used with all dynamic frames.

CAPL:

  • There is now a new variant of the CAPL callback On FrPDU available. On FrPDU* can be used to receive all PDUs with the exception of already defined PDU callbacks.
  • The output function can also forward PDUs in the Measurement setup.

Trace:

  • The Counter column in the Trace window now also evaluates the FlexRay Events.
  • When signals are exported from the Trace window, the FlexRay channel assignment is taken into account.

Bus simulator:

  • The bus simulator simulates Null Frames in addition to the Data Frames.
  • When dynamic frames are sent, the pLatestTX parameter is taken into account.

Filters:

  • In the FlexRay filter, direct editing of a row that defines a frame range is now possible.

LIN:

Trace-Window: New LIN Trace columns are now available:

  • "Baud Rate Resp." - Shows measured response baudrate and its deviation from the Master baudrate
  • "Slot Delay" - Shows measured slot delay of LIN frame
  • "Interframe Space" - Shows time between two consecutive LIN frames
  • "Bus Idle" - Shows bus idle time between two consecutive LIN bus events

Minor Improvements:

  • Adjustable response tolerance for testing purposes (requires Vectors XL-interfaces with firmware version 2.02 or higher)
  • LIN Slave Conformance Test Module:
    - Not implemented LIN 2.1 tests are automatically deselected on generating XML specification.
    - Tests can be started even when simulated Master is asleep.
    - Minor improvements in CAPL libraries (LIN 2.0, LIN 2.1)
